Aberdeen are currently in talks with the La Liga side over a deal for the North Macedonian international
. The Spanish outfit have had an opening bid turned down but are pushing to try and get a deal done. Girona are some way short of Aberdeen’s valuation but they are set to make an improved bid.
The Dons want the bid upped and more of the more guaranteed than on add ons. There is other interest in Miovski from Italy but sources close to the player have confirmed he wants to join Girona and personal terms won’t be an issue. The 25-year-old has always made it clear he wants to move to one of Europe’s top league. Girona, who finished third in La Liga last season fit the bill and will also give him the opportunity to play in the Champions League.
The Spanish side are also part of the City Group - who own Manchester City, New York City, Melbourne City, Yokohama F Marions, Montevideo City Torque, Sichuan Jiuniu and Mumbai City. Aberdeen, however, have made it clear they will only sell if the price is right. That includes meeting their asking price and various add-ons and sell-ons. The Pittodrie outfit have already turned down a lowball bid from Spanish rivals Espanyol.
Aberdeen bought Miovski for a bargain £500,000 from MTK in 2022. The striker has had two top seasons in Scotland and netted an impressive 26 goals last season. Miovski still has another season left on his Aberdeen contract after this one.
