With November 5th falling on a Tuesday, many Bonfire Night celebrations in Nottinghamshire are happening the weekend before. While Nottingham's Forest Recreation Ground bonfire is cancelled due to financial constraints, other events offer fireworks, street food, and live entertainment. Advance ticket purchase is recommended.
Another few weeks and it will be the time for the 'oohs' and 'aahs' at firework displays across the county. Once the words "pumpkin spice" and "Goose Fair" are uttered you know temperatures are dropping and the nights are drawing in so it won't be long now.
Most advise, and some insist on attendees buying advance tickets. If you're thinking of going to a display, don't expect to roll up and pay on the gate as the most popular are likely to sell out before you can say Catherine Wheel. Car parking is free. Advance tickets are adults £13, children £6 and family £35. Under fives are admitted free. Get your tickets hereEnjoy an enchanting evening with dazzling fireworks and food and drink from the Clock Tower and Cricket Pavilion. Gates open at 5pm with the fireworks let off around 7pm.
