The Bournemouth Air Festival continues this weekend, with more than 600,000 spectators expected to head to the south coast to catch the Red Arrows and other famous planes
5pm on Friday and SaturdayOn Saturday they will put on a flypast over Lyndhurst in Hampshire at 5.27pm on their way back to Bournemouth airport, and they will do so again at 2.57pm on Sunday.
These will be some of the last Red Arrows displays of the year, with their season coming to an end at the Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow on 17 September.The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, RAF Typhoon, RAF Chinook, T-67 Firefly, Fairey Swordfish, P-51 Mustang, Firebirds and Supermarine Spitfire MK XIX are among the planes and helicopters that will perform over the weekend, along with the Super Pitts Muscle Bi-Plane, Yakovlev Aerobatic Display and more.
On land you can visit the Armed Forces Village and Royal Air Force Village, there is a funfair and also live entertainment at Madama Mojos, including drag queens, comedians and cabaret singers.for more information. If you have a ticket you can enter your ticket code to view a live schedule.Bournemouth will be dry all day on Friday, with occasional patches of sunshine piercing the clouds and temperatures around 20ºC.
On Saturday the Met Office is predicting a bright and sunny day with highs of 23ºC. The evening will be especially clear, which is good news for the Red Arrows’ display. There is a very slight chance of some rain in the early afternoon, but it is expected to stay dry.Topics
