Errol Spence Jr., the welterweight boxing champion from DeSoto, was involved in a car accident Saturday evening., Spence said he was hit by a car that ran a red light. He said he was glad his kids were not in the car with him.It was unclear exactly where or when the accident took place. Other details including what led up to the crash, how many people were involved and whether anyone was injured were not available.
Dallas police said the department did not respond to an accident involving Spence on Saturday. DeSoto police did not respond to a request for comment, and a spokesman for management company Premier Boxing Champions said in a text message that he had no information beyond what was in Spence’s Instagram video.
