A father put his son in the car and then a man jumped into the vehicle and drove off with the child inside.
IRVINGTON, New Jersey --
A car was stolen in Irvington, New Jersey with a 7-year-old boy inside and the whole thing was caught on camera.7-year-old Jayden was supposed to be starting extended summer school Wednesday morning. "He's not going anywhere. He's staying in my arms, because it's a relief because my worst nightmare is that my son is going to get stolen," said Avionne King, Jayden's mother.Jayden's father, Dwayne King, strapped his son in the backseat of his black Mercedes in the driveway, and then walked to the end of the driveway to get the recycling container, and took it to the back.
"And as soon as he started to walk back, a blue car drove up, a guy jumped out, put on a mask, and drove right off," she said. "My husband ran towards them on Sanford Avenue, and then turned back around, ran inside, got my car, and yelled inside to call the police.""The people apparently didn't realize Jayden was in the car and abandoned it on the street," she said.
The door opened and thought that was odd and decided to watch the car, unaware as well, that Jayden was inside."He said all I did was open the car and Jayden just jumped right out and went with him, that's it," Avionne said. "The only problem is because Jayden can't talk, he can't communicate, he has no nothing that he can do, Jayden will go with strangers. I just thank God that the person he went with was a cop.
