Braves manager Brian Snitker let his emotions get ahead of him.
The 67-year-old manager, though, challenged the call, saying that the ball hit the line. But Snitker was still unsatisfied, saying that Acuna, one of the quickest players in the majors, would’ve been at third if the ball was initially ruled fair.“They got the call right, but I don’t think they placed the runners in the right spot,” Snitker said after Friday’s game.
Snitker exited the dugout and chatted with umpires before getting more animated and flailing his arms. Brian Snitker was ejected for arguing with officials about the way baserunners were stationed following a successful challenge.Friday’s game gave Atlanta their first win of a three-game series against the Royals.
The Braves, also trounced the Royals, 9-3, on Saturday, are off to a strong start with an NL East-leading 11-4 record.
