The Irishman is poised to have a Benfica midfielder confirmed as his next summer signing.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has played it coy when it comes to more Parkhead arrivals - as he welcomes Paulo Bernardo to Glasgow.
The Portuguese midfielder is poised to become the latest arrival at the Premiership champions after Luis Palma and Nat Phillips both joined this week. He is leaving Benfica on a season-long loan deal and the Portuguese U21s squad announcement already has him down as a Parkhead player, pointing towards an imminent announcement.
A left-back is also being hunted by Rodgers – with Ryan Bertrand one name in the frame – while he is also believed to be monitoring striker options. The Celtic boss is hopeful of Bernardo confirmation arriving soon and gave nothing away when it comes to more arrivals after him. He said: "I'm not so sure. I don't think there will be many more coming in. Again a young player that's coming in with potential and that will hopefully be confirmed.
"He comes in with the opportunity to see him and give us more strength in depth in that midfield area. We will see how he develops."
