Anyone going to the country's Balearic Islands is being told to avoid having alcohol outside, with police ready to swoop.
British holidaymakers are being cautioned about a new crackdown on alcohol consumption in the Balearic Islands.

Luis Pomar, a press officer at the Balearic Islands tourism council, informed the BBC that the 2020 law has been effectively reducing anti-social behaviour.
Mr Pomar mentioned that the commission focusing on "the Promotion of Civility in Tourist Zones" would include representatives from countries whose tourists are typically linked to troubles - namely, the UK and Germany. The local government reiterated the 2020 law's provision that shops are prohibited from selling alcohol between the local times of 21:30 and 08:00 .
