The lefty reliever won’t pitch in a game for at least a week after returning from the World Baseball Classic (before the tournament started) with the injury.
PORT ST. LUCIE — Brooks Raley is keeping his arm strong by continuing to play catch, but his left hamstring hasn’t progressed to the point he’s ready to get back on a mound.
While Raley considers the Opening Day roster a “strong possibility,” he won’t risk worsening the hamstring by pushing too hard to be ready on March 30. He isn’t sure how the hamstring injury occurred.
