.BrothersOsborne will receive the Vanguard Award at the 2019 ASCAP Country Music Awards
“John and TJ Osborne successfully honor the past and the future with their passionate country rock sound,” shared ASCAP chairman of the board and presidentin a statement. “Together with John’s masterful guitar picking and TJ’s pitch-perfect baritone, they offer a fresh take on the modern country duo. We are thrilled to honor them with the ASCAP Vanguard Award.”
It's hardly the first honor bestowed on the Maryland natives, who have collected four Country Music Association Awards and five Academy of Country Music Awards trophies, earning five Grammy nominations. Most notably, they've won the CMA for vocal duo of the year three times and will be up for a fourth win at this year's ceremony on Nov. 13. with the Founders Award.
