Court records show law firm Brown Rudnick was hacked in 2020 and its insurance paid a $2 million ransom
Brown Rudnick, which reportedly made $228 million last year, had its file transfer system hacked.The law firm was one of several breached, including Goodwin Procter and Jones Day.
Brown Rudnick's name was revealed in court filings by its cyber insurance company, which is suing the information technology firm Accellion for not doing enough to protect its clients from data exfiltration.
