The Brox have held onto their top goalscorer, despite an approach from the Binos

Broxburn Athletic boss Stevie Pittman has revealed star striker Errol Douglas is staying at Albyn Park after they rejected a bid from League Two side Stirling Albion on Monday.

But he has opted to remain with the West Lothian outfit and Pittman is delighted. He said: “There has been teams in for Erroll and putting offers in, but he is happy where he is just now. “The big man doesn’t want to go. I think there is a lot of travelling in League Two and, having weighed up his options, he is happy where he is and we are delighted with that. It shows what a good group of boys we have, they stick together.

In Friday’s tie, which was shown live on BBC Scotland, Douglas opened the scoring after 12 minutes before Kyle Bell added a second soon after the interval. Douglas completed his treble with two strikes in stoppage time.
