The Reds would respond in the top of the third inning with an RBI double from Will Benson to tie the game up at one.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Phillies Trae Turner scores on an errant throw to first base by Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz, extending the lead to 3-1. In the bottom of the seventh inning, Kyle Schwarber would score Brandon Marsh on an RBI single, and Bryce Harper would mash a grand slam for his third home run of the game, propelling the Phillies to an 8-1 lead. This is Harper's third career game with three home runs. His six RBIs were also a career high.
