Burnley manager Vincent Kompany has been handed a two-match touchline suspension following his red card against Chelsea on 30 March.Kompany was dismissed for protesting against a penalty decision that led to Lorenz Assignon being sent off."It's fair enough. I totally acknowledge that what I said in the moment does not reflect what I feel about the official and the integrity of someone," Kompany said on Thursday, after his punishment was confirmed.
Assignon was shown a second yellow card shortly before half-time at Stamford Bridge for fouling Mykhailo Mudryk in the penalty area."It will make things quite unpleasant for me on Saturday but I have full trust in my coaches and in my players, and their ability to rise to the challenge," Kompany said.
"It's unfortunate because I want to be there for my team so in that sense, it is something that will probably annoy me on the day."Seven Burnley players have been sent off in 32 Premier League games this season, the most of any team in the top flight.Pundit in Spain sacked after remark about Yamal A Spanish TV station sacks a pundit after he made a controversial remark about Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal before the game with Paris St-Germain.We've launched three separate channels - BBC Sport, BBC Football and BBC Cricket - to give you another way to stay up to date. The uncompromising horror-comedy returnsToday's football gossip
