State police are investigating a crash involving a school bus carrying campers that sent nearly 30 people to the hospital.
reported that the bus was carrying children and adults from the Christian Camps of Pittsburgh.
Investigators told KDKA that there were no serious injuries. State police did not immediately respond to a message from PennLive Thursday morning seeking an update on those injured. Gagliardi also said that the crash could have been worse because the bus narrowly missed hitting a utility pole before it crashed through the fence.
State police will inspect the bus for any mechanical issues and the driver, who was not named, will be tested for drugs and alcohol.
