Leicester City have confirmed the signing of Brazilian winger Tete on a short-term deal until the end of the season, who could prove to be a valuable addition for Brendan Rodgers.
The 22-year-old has been on loan at the Ligue 1 side from Shakhtar Donetsk since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, with FIFA allowing foreign players to suspend their deals with clubs in the country. Tete is also versatile, with the ability to play on either wing, as a second striker or as an attacking midfielder, so he will provide cover in several areas for Rodgers if the deal is completed as expected.
