California-based United Pacific Industries has purchased a McKinney industrial building to expand its operations to North Texas.
“It’s a lot easier to do business here than in California,” Spika said in a statement. “There is a lot of land here and we are just a three-hour flight to either coast.”United Pacific designs and manufacturers parts and accessories for commercial trucks including Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt and Volvo. The company also has products for classic American cars.The building is in the Core5 Logistics Center business park between Wilmeth and Bloomdale roads.
“McKinney is a great place to be with a strong talent base and corporate tax incentives that make it an attractive option to meet UPI’s evolving business goals,” Jensen said in a statement.builders who have migrated to McKinney in the last few years to construct new warehouse and distribution projects.
“Until about five years ago, McKinney was significantly underserved in having industrial inventory available on the market,” said Madison Clark, McKinney’s economic development director of business retention and workforce development. United Pacific Industries has been in business since 1984 and got its start in El Segundo, Calif. The company’s global headquarters is in Long Beach.
