A “rude person” is credited with causing a southern California woman to push the wrong button on a lottery vending machine, earning her millions of dollars.
, the California State Lottery said LaQuedra Edwards was deciding what lottery ticket to buy when she said “some rude person” bumped into her, causing her to accidentally hit a button on the machine. Edwards had already put $40 into the machine, and pushing the button caused her to spend $30 on a single ticket.Edwards waited until she was in the car to start scratching the ticket, and discovered she won the game’s top prize of $10 million.
