The skipper returned to the Hoops' starting line-up for the Scottish Cup semi-final clash with Aberdeen.
Celtic skipper Callum McGregor is the only fitness "question mark" for Brendan Rodgers , according to Stephen McGinn.
And the pundit reckons that the Scotland international has not totally eased concerns of fans after his first start since recovering from an Achilles injury in the 3-3 Scottish Cup semi-final thriller against Aberdeen. Tomoki Iwata was brought on in the second half of the clash with the Dons at the national stadium with the Celtic captain still not up to full speed for the run-in.
And Falkirk captain McGinn admits he had concerns over McGregor and his ability to impact the Scottish Premiership title fight with Rangers - as well as the Hoops return to Mount Florida for the Old Firm cup final. When addressing the return of Liam Scales and Reo Hatate in recent weeks, McGinn told Go Radio: "The one question mark still is the fitness of Callum McGregor.
"I did wonder what part he would have to play and I think giving him the start last week is an indication he will get back to full fitness before the end of the season, but I didn't think last week he looked 100 per cent. I don't think he was quite as free flowing. There was a couple of time you thought he is going to grab this game by the scruff of the neck and he didn't."
Rodgers has seen his injury woes ease in recent weeks with Daizen Maeda set to be the only first-team absentee for the clash with Dundee on Sunday. However, he is set to return before the end of the campaign in a major boost for Celtic.
