Captain America's Emily VanCamp to star with her husband Josh Bowman in new movie Miranda's Victim.
The film will divulge the unfolding events that led to the formation of what the American public has come to know as the Miranda Rights.
It will follow Trish Weir , who in 1963 was kidnapped and brutally raped by Ernesto Miranda . Later on, when she resiliently took her case to court, her life was instead picked apart and destroyed by the country's legal system. Her case, however, resulted in the Miranda rights, otherwise known as the way to today's"right to remain silent" speech police officers dutifully make with every arrest, to ensure the validity of statements made during interrogations.
VanCamp will be playing Trish's sister Ann, who, throughout the trial, stood unswayed by her sister's side, becoming a pillar of support. Bowman will star as Trish's husband Charles.
