Failed negotiations with the council mean the site's swimming pool is no longer open
Plans have been put forward to host an indoor car boot sale inside a Nottinghamshire leisure centre which is now partially closed to the public. Negotiations between Broxtowe Borough Council and the Kimberley School failed to keep the swimming pool at Kimberley Leisure Centre, which closed to the public at the end of March, open.
The council was unable to accommodate this and the swimming pool therefore remains closed, although other activities at the centre are unaffected. New plans submitted to Broxtowe Borough Council now show that an indoor car boot sale could be hosted in the facility's sports hall every Saturday.A Kimberley School spokesperson said: "Bulwell Indoor Car Boot approached us in October 2023, as to whether we had availability to host an indoor car boot at our sports centre.
