Following the collision the driver made off on foot. A 17-year-old was arrested by cops a short time after the incident.
An investigation has been launched after a car flipped and ended on its roof after a collision with a parked vehicle in an Aberdeenshire town.
Officers from Police Scotland attempted to stop the vehicle on North Street in Peterhead at around 4.15pm this afternoon, June 25, before it was eventually involved in a collision with an unoccupied car on West Road in the town. Debris lies scattered across the road as bystanders gather at the sceneA spokesperson for the force said: “A vehicle failed to stop for officers on North Street in Peterhead around 4.15pm on Tuesday, 25 June. This vehicle was subsequently involved in a collision with unoccupied parked vehicles on West Road in the town a short time later.
