A picture from the scene shows firefighters working around the wrecked motor, which has landed near rocks off the coastal road. It is not currently known how many vehicles were involved or if anyone has been seriously injured, however an air ambulance has been called to assist. A Scottish Ambulance Service trauma team is also on site.
A statement from Police Scotland said: “The A747 Road between Glenluce & Port William is currently closed due to a road traffic collision. Police, fire and ambulance are on scene.A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 08:42 to attend a road traffic collision on the A747 between Glenluce and Port William. One ambulance and our trauma team were dispatched to the scene.
