Here's what you need to know.
Councillor Gordan Low said: "We will once again be suspending charges in our town centre car parks on the four Saturdays leading up to Christmas.
"If you're out and about then please support local shops, hospitality venues and service providers if you can. "We would encourage people to walk, cycle, scoot or use public transport where possible, but if you need to drive then you will be able to park for free on Saturdays 3, 10, 17 and 24 December."
For safety reasons, parking wardens will be enforcing restrictions where vehicles are parked inappropriately.
