PUBLISHED 6:37 PM CDT Aug. 12, 2023DALLAS — Latricia Trammell reached the ultimate destination in her profession after almost 30 years on the sidelines.Trammell is in her first year as the Dallas Wings head coach. The position brings her career full circle in North Texas after coaching at Denton Ryan High School more than 20 years ago.
Trammell won 67 games in three seasons with the Raiders, taking Denton Ryan to a regional final for the first time in school history. Monesha Allen was coaching at a rival school when Trammell was at Ryan. She became the Raiders head coach after Trammell left for a college job. Once Trammell got the Dallas job this spring, her former players took a trip down I-35 for a Wings practice that took them on a trip down memory lane.
