The Coyotes added to their lead on their next offensive possession when junior quarterback Tyler Lewis hit Lucas Milan for a completion near midfield and the senior did the rest, forcing a missed tackle before racing in for the score.On the final play of the first quarter, Coyotes senior defensive lineman Deacon Andres suffered what is likely to be a season-ending ankle injury.
“We really brought it together,” said Gibson. “Mason, who’s one of Deacon’s brothers, actually got us all in a huddle. He said, ‘My brother is down, and he’s your guys’ brother too, and we need to fight for him and not give up.’”
