EXCLUSIVE: Celebs Go Dating agents Paul C Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr Tara tease the E4 show's latest series, from the major drama to come to who they thought would be a 'diva'
Celebs Go Dating is back on our screens with its spiciest series yet as the show’s three expert matchmakers promise to smash the celebrities’ game plans, cut through the “b******t” and help them find love.
“We’re not prudes but Dr Tara is spicy,” Anna says, laughing. “She was just casually on her phone one day and said, ‘Let me show you this video of a party I was at the other day.’” With the trio bringing different areas of relationship expertise to the show, the Celebs Go Dating agents are now a “firm team”.
This year sees the experts deliver difficult dating truths to the celebrities – and some were more resistant than others to the feedback. “I think everyone comes in with a misunderstanding that they’ll float through the process,” Paul says. “But very quickly they realise that they can’t do that.” Meanwhile, Anna teases that viewers will see a different side to Helen Flanagan. “She’s known as being the Corrie sex siren, a beautiful woman who wins awards for being a great actress, but she’s not afraid to unveil all her vulnerabilities,” she says. “She’s just a woman who’s having a tough time in love and I think it’s really brave of her to come on.
“She lands in a place where she’s very content despite everything that’s happening in her life,” he says. “The fact that she landed in that place in such a short amount of time is a testament to the journey.”
