Stacey Solomon’s 'manic' holiday to Molly-Mae’s lack of sleep – celebs on the realities of mum life
Motherhood is a journey that comes with many highs and lows, and while it’s important to share the good times, it’s also refreshing when mums speak out about the more challenging moments.
And now parenting expert Amanda Jenner has praised those who aren’t afraid to open up about mum stress, saying it can help others to know they’re not alone. Olivia went on to say that motherhood is a “roller-coaster”, adding, “There is no day the same, but I do feel like I’m living Groundhog Day too. It’s the oddest thing.” The former Love Island star has previously opened up about her experiences with her mental health. Discussing her anxiety battle, she admitted, “I’d time every sleep Abel had, I’d keep a record of it and obsess over it. I struggled with how much breastmilk he’d have and feel like a failure if he didn’t eat.”
Shaughna then shared a snap of Lucia on her first dog walk. She said, “Everything is so scary all of a sudden, cars are too loud, pavements are too bumpy...” When one follower agreed that you become “aware of everything”, the star replied, “I panicked that she might have hayfever – the anxiety is insane.”
Stacey Solomon 'You lose yourself' After returning home from a family holiday in Abu Dhabi in time for the Easter holidays, Stacey admitted on her Instagram Stories that holidays are so “manic”. She said, “This is why I’m not on [social media] as much in the holidays, because it is actual carnage.” And in a bid to give herself a confidence boost, the mum-of-five decided to have a “mini photo shoot” with herself after finding the time to get her hair done.
Dani Dyer 'The mum guilt never ends' Dani has shared the realities of juggling pregnancy while having a toddler, admitting she’s been hit by mum guilt. Dani also explained she’s booked in to have a planned C-section, which left her “instantly guilty” and “worried about the recovery”. Taking to Instagram Stories, the former I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here! winner admitted she was “back to the mad house” as she said, “I’m just sitting here in the toy room trying to get some peace. I’m tired. When you go away with the girls, it’s hard work. It’s so fun-filled and packed, that it’s not a break. I feel like I need a couple of days...”
Mrs Hinch 'Every child is different' The influencer held back tears as she explained how her three-year-old son, Ronnie, has been going through assessments, after previously opening up about his delayed speech. Sophie also discussed experiencing mum guilt over the Easter holidays, but gushed that Jamie is “holding everything together” as she described him as “my absolute glue, my rock, everything”.
