Andy Halliday reckons Lyall Cameron will be next to make a big move from Dens Park and big two could pick him up for a song
The next Luke McCowan is ready to be plucked from Dundee and could be signed by Celtic or Rangers for less than £1million,.
hat's according to Andy Halliday, who having seen McCowan make the move from Dens park to Parkhead on transfer deadline day for six figures, has tipped McCowan's former Dark Blues teammate Lyall Cameron to be the next player to earn a big move from Tony Docherty's team. The Scotland U21 international has impressed in the Dee engine room, both alongside McCowan and since he's departed.
Twenty-two goals and 11 assists in 91 appearances for Dundee is an impressive return from the 22-year-old, and Docherty will be hoping he can step it up even more to help fill the gap left by McCowan's departure. And Halliday has urged the big two to raid the City of Discovery once again, comparing Cameron favourably to fringe men that have cost a pretty penny in recent years.
"See McCowan signing for Rangers or Celtic from Dundee, that’s a no-brainer signing," he told Open Goal. “Dundee fans won’t like this, but Lyall Cameron is the next one. Go and sign him. "I'm not saying this is the player that’s going to come in and make the immediate impact for you, but when I look at the squad players that Rangers and Celtic have signed over the years and spent good dough on, surely go and sign these boys."
