She was a student at Colaiste Dun an Ri in Co Cavan.
She was also an avid Celtic fan and supporters of the Glasgow side paid tribute to her during a clash with Rangers shortly after her death. There was a round of applause in the 14th minute and a banner was also unfurled, which read: "RIP Aoibhe. #Forever14". Hoops boss Rodgers has now sent a video to the family of Aoibhe ahead of this weekend's tournament, reports the Irish Mirror.
Speaking in the clip, the Carnlough native said: "I'm sorry that I'm having to leave a message in this circumstance."My thoughts are with yourselves for the tragic loss of Aoibhe. "I know you're massive Celtic supporters, travel to the games, and young Aoibhe came over and felt the magic of Celtic Park."The sadness I'm sure will always be there and having experienced death with close family then of course that never leaves you."On behalf of myself and everyone here at Celtic, I just wanted to pass on my belated condolences for the death of such a beautiful young girl and hopefully her memory you can celebrate for many more years to come.
