Celtic are in big trouble if Greg Taylor picks up an injury between now and the winter break., former Rangers defender said that the Hoops’ options at the back are not as versatile as their Glasgow counterpart.have revealed the Celts’ squad for their upcoming Champions League group stage campaign with Taylor the only left-back named and Alexandro Bernabei seemingly left out.
Bernabei is Brendan Rodgers’ only other option at left-back but has struggled to oust Taylor from the starting spot since his arrival last summer. Rodgers had been keen to add another during the summer window but after injuries to Stephen Welsh, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Maik Nawrocki and losing Carl Starfelt, the Hoops instead opted to bring in another central defender.
The Hoops’ European campaign gets underway next week in Rotterdam where they face Feyenoord before welcoming Lazio to Parkhead on 4 October. When asked if it’s a big problem for the Hoops only having one left-back for their crucial European campaign.Bernabei has been left out so they maybe feel that they have got boys there that can fill a void. Can Welsh play out there? You would think they would have Bernabei in.
