Sheelagh Ennis, 68, and James Shields, 71, say their Parkhead flat would rival the club museum, with the walls, floors, doors and ceilings of the flat adorned with Celtic memorabilia, including signed shirts, footballs, posters, football boots, flags and pennants. The green and white flat looks out onto Celtic Park , a decision Sheila made to be as close as possible to her team.
Sheelagh lists her favourites as her with Paddy McCourt, Charlie Mulgrew, Chris Sutton, and the “holy goalie” Artur Boruc. Life-long Celtic fan Sheila grew up in Coventry, and went to her first ever game at Celtic Park on August 16, 2014, after meeting Gorbals-born James. The pair watched the Hoops knock Dundee United for six in a game that finished 6-1.
Along from the boots is a football signed by the 1997/98 title-winning Celtic squad who stopped Rangers winning ten league titles in a row. On the next wall is a shirt signed by the quadruple treble-winning team, bought by the couple at auction for £400. Sheelagh emigrated from Ireland with her family to Coventry aged just 18 months.
