Celtic title party was 'risk to public safety' as roads, businesses and residents disrupted
The gathering of Celtic fans in the city centre over the weekend posed a "risk to public safety", Glasgow City Council has said.
A 31-year-old man is currently in a serious condition in hospital. Mountains of rubbish piled up in the city centre with council staff on hand to clear-up the mess left behind.One incident, captured on video, showed people launching a firework into a packed crowd.A spokesperson for Glasgow City Council said: “The gathering clearly caused disruption to residents, local businesses and the roads network.
"Roads closed at short notice for safety reasons were reopened on Sunday morning and traffic signals damaged during the gathering were also repaired.
