Richard Perez will step down at the end of the year from his job as president and CEO of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.SAN ANTONIO — Richard Perez — the longtime president and CEO of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the first Latino to hold the position — will resign at the end of the year, the chamber announced Thursday.
Perez, who has led the city’s largest business advocacy organization since 2007, said he’ll leave his post Dec. 31. Perez will become a consultant next year as the chamber conducts a nationwide search for his replacement, the organization said.“Fifteen years ago this month, I started in my role as president and CEO of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce,” Perez said in a statement.
