Another chance to get Peter Kay tickets
A South African safari, Peter Kay tickets, a signed Manchester United shirt and executive box tickets at Preston North End are just some of the dazzling prizes up for grabs in a silent fund-raising auction taking place this weekend to raise money for a Lancashire children’s charity
The silent auction is part of the charity’s annual fundraising Starlight Ball, which also takes place on Saturday, with anyone welcome to take part in the online auction which will close at midday on Saturday. Guests at the charity’s ball will then be able to bid that evening, with the entire auction closing at midnight at the ball.
She told LancsLive: “We raised over £70,000 last year but we’re not setting our hopes that high this year because it’s just been such a difficult year and everybody’s struggling. We’ve been overwhelmed with the generosity from shops and companies and supporters. It’s just a little light in the calendar at this time of year and we’re hoping for a really special evening.
