What's not to love?
I made this salad exactly as directed. I found the peppers a delightful addition however as a whole salad I found it disappointing and lacking of flavour. I will now doctor this recipe. Thanks for a starting point.
Omg. How could these go together so well?! We used anaheims and I went with smaller slices of regular cucumber when I couldn't find Persian. These ingredients seemed like an odd combo to me but man, it was so fun to eat. Got my wheels turning for similar pairings. Great recipe, Andy.This recipe was a big hit. I couldn't find Italian frying peppers or Anaheim chiles, so I ended up using roasted red and yellow peppers. I cheated since I had a jar of them on hand.

Blueberry Lemon Poppy Seed Pie Recipe on Food52Here's a pie that's creamier, crunchier, and zingier than most blueberry pies get. The cream comes from crème fraîche, which is spread over the bottom of the par-baked dough and dotted across the top of the pie; as the pie bakes, it will bubble into a tangy, light custard. The crunch comes from a poppy seed streusel that's scattered above and below the blueberry filling (if you'd like, you can add a scattering of poppy seeds to the dough itself, too). And the zing comes from a generous amount of lemon zest in the filling and as garnish. This recipe is adapted from Martha Stewart's Peach and Crème Fraîche Pie.
