Karen Foster, 62, pleaded guilty to manslaughter following the death of baby Harlow Collinge, who died from injuries he sustained at her home in Hapton, Lancashire. Emergency services were called to the residence on March 1, 2022, after reports that the little boy had collapsed.
Harlow was rushed to hospital. She denied the charge but today , as she was due to stand trial, she admitted she had shaken the little boy in frustration after he fell from a chair and cried.
Harlow's family shed tears in the public gallery as Foster entered her plea. The defendant pleaded not guilty to murder but admitted manslaughter, reports Lancs Live.Foster has been remanded in custody and will return to court on Thursday, June 13 where she will be sentenced for causing Harlow's death.
