Chipotle Mexican Grill is introducing what it calls its first new take on chicken in 29 years.
It’s called Pollo Asado. The Newport Beach-based company describes it as chicken meat tumbled in a spice blend, then seared on a plancha and complemented with marinade, fresh lime juice and cilantro. It will be available for a limited time, according to a press release. Citrus-marinated chicken is on Chipotle’s permanent menu and is the chain’s most popular protein, the press release said.
Chipotle will be promoting Pollo Asado with free deliveries on orders placed through the company’s app and website March 14-20 in the United States. The dates in Canada are March 13-20.
