Mr. Noth had been a recurring cast member on “The Equalizer” since its debut in February, playing a former CIA agent opposite actress and rapper Queen Latifah. A second season started this fall. A CBS spokeswoman said Mr. Noth would appear in one new episode that hasn’t aired yet as well as in reruns. She declined to comment further.published last week in the Hollywood Reporter quoted two anonymous women who accused Mr. Noth of sexual assault.
A spokeswoman for Mr. Noth didn’t comment Tuesday on his role in “The Equalizer” but referred to an earlier statement in which the actor denied the accusations in the Hollywood Reporter. “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false,” he said in the statement. “These stories could’ve been from 30 years ago or 30 days ago—no always means no—that is a line I did not cross. The encounters were consensual. It’s difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out. I don’t know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women.
Actress and director Zoe Lister-Jones has also accused Mr. Noth of misconduct. “I couldn’t separate the actor from the man, and the man is a sexual predator,”Responding to Ms. Lister-Jones’s remarks, a spokesman for Mr. Noth said Tuesday, “This is a desperate attempt to insert herself into the narrative.”
