Christine Lampard dropped a bombshell on Loose Women as she hosted the show with Coronation Street 's Sally Dynevor, Brenda Edwards, and special guest Sarah Ferguson. Viewers were left gobsmacked when, just minutes into the show, Christine announced some shocking news.
After returning from a commercial break, Christine delivered the scoop: "First some breaking news from Coronation Street. It's just been announced that after 50 years on the cobbles, Helen Worth who plays Gail, will be leaving the show later on this year." She remarked: "We're going to miss her so much. She's amazing." Christine continued to praise Helen: "50 years... the absolute fabric, DNA of Corrie. You don't think of Corrie without her being in it." Sally agreed wholeheartedly: "No absolutely not," and shared, "Helen was there before I started. She was a guiding light to me. She's a wonderful actress and I love her.
