The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced that Derrick Porter will be replacing Lloyd Newell, who served as writer and presenter of the program since 1990.
<p>SALT LAKE CITY — A 42-year-old bishop from Bountiful, and father to six children, will be the new voice of &quot;Music &amp; the Spoken Word.
</p><p>&quot;I am sincerely humbled at the opportunity to serve as a steward to carry on this great legacy,&quot; Porter said in a news release from the church.
