Emergency facilities dedicated to mental-health patients are sprouting up across the U.S. to handleSome new facilities dedicated to mental health act like urgent-care centers, allowing people to receive services without appointments.
The Behavioral Health Solutions Center, which opened downtown in May, provides short-term mental-health care and crisis-stabilization services to patients referred by first responders. It also aims to give patients physical-health assessments and to act as a gateway to housing and healthcare resources.like the one in Denver are opening as people in the U.S. have been acutely affected by the stress of the pandemic.
