John Lewis, the civil rights leader and longtime congressman from Georgia, has died
Mr. Lewis, who said in late December he had pancreatic cancer, represented Georgia in the House for more than three decades. He sought to infuse the nation’s governance with a higher sense of morality, especially on matters of civil and human rights.
