EXCLUSIVE: Claire Richards has candidly opened up about her body demons as she admits that she still struggles to take compliments and 'doesn't believe it' when told she looks nice
Claire Richards has had her fair share of highs and lows in the spotlight since entering the world of pop on her 18th birthday - including being told she had to lose weight at the time.
“I think I probably deal with it better and maybe care a little bit less,” she explains. “I never believe anybody when they tell me I look nice, because I’m in my own head with it all the time. Recently, Claire shared her experience of being told to 'lose weight' once she had joined her first band, before Steps, named The Scan-Dolls. Appearing on an episode of Vicky Pattison's The Secret To podcast, the star explained that she and her bandmates were all sizes 10-12 and had been told to 'go on a diet'.
