The Lurgan rivals go head-to-head in the rescheduled Armagh SFC final this evening at the Box-It Athletic Grounds
A late postponement due to Storm Ashley means that Clann Eireann and Clan na Gael have had to wait an extra six days to lock horns in the 2024 Armagh SFC final.
The Armagh Intermediate final went ahead last Sunday in the Box-It Athletic Grounds, but the senior final was called off. The Gerry Fagan Cup will be heading for Lurgan one way or another with the teams meeting in what is a repeat of the 1968 county final which Clan na Gael won 2-6 to 0-4. They also defeated their rivals in last season’s semi-final before losing out to Crossmaglen while Clann Eireann claimed the scalp of the south Armagh side in this season’s semi-final. Clan na Gael edged out Madden in the other semi-final and finished top of their group earlier in the campaign and they’ll be keen to rectify last season’s below-par effort in the county final.When and where is the game?
