Paul Wyatt, 29, is being held without bond in the Lake County Jail.
PAINESVILLE, Ohio — A Cleveland man is facing an assault charge after police say he assaulted two women Monday afternoon in downtown Painesville.
Paul Wyatt, 29, is being held without bond in the Lake County Jail, according to a news release from the Painesville Police Department. Wyatt was arraigned Tuesday in Painesville Municipal Court, entering a plea of not guilty, court records show. Police claim that shortly before 2 p.m. Monday on the 90 block of Richmond Street, a female was in her vehicle when she was assaulted by Wyatt. The victim did not know Wyatt, police say.
Wyatt reportedly left the first victim and went up to a second female who was walking near the intersection of East Jackson and Richmond streets. Police claim Wyatt grabbed the female and forced her across the street against her will. Bystanders came to the victim’s aid and Wyatt reportedly let go of the woman and left the area.Anyone with information on the incident can contact police at 440-392-5839.
