Karol G’s tribute to Latin music stars, including Selena, at Coachella had fans emotional.
A little over halfway through her performance, she switched into a blue, yellow and red outfit.
“These are the colors of my flag; I am from Colombia. Tonight, I feel so happy and so proud to represent my country and my Latina community around world,” she said. “Now I just want to have a moment in my show to honor Latina songs that were number one in the world but never were played on this stage, but gave me the opportunity to be here.”
She then went immediately into “Como la Flor,” by Selena Quintanilla Pérez, which particularly moved fans who were watching — not to mention it was one day after the legendary singer’s birthday. Fans of Selena were emotional watching the tribute.
