One of the taser devices was discovered in Alan Dunion's jacket which he had left behind in the police car after he'd been given a lift home. Dunion, 28, of Lavelle Drive, Coatbridge , appeared from custody at Airdrie Sheriff Court this week.
He admitted possession of the stun guns on April 1 while on bail for another matter. Flora McCamley, prosecuting, said officers went to Bank Street about 3am after a caller raised concerns about a person.READ MORE: Man falls from balcony within Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art as police remain at scene She told the court: "The officers found Dunion and offered to take him home. He left his jacket in the police car and when the officers discovered this at the end of their shift they went back to his address to return it.
"They noted there was something heavy in the jacket pocket and recovered a taser. A search warrant was then granted for the accused's home and another taser was found in a set of drawers in his bedroom." Sheriff Paul Haran deferred sentence for a criminal justice social work report and an electronic tagging assessment.Sign up to our daily Glasgow Live newsletter here to receive news and features direct to your inbox
