Coleen Rooney has shared how the Wagatha trial took its toll on her physical and mental health as she was "stripped of character".
Speaking in her new Disney+ docuseries, Coleen said: "Obviously, I’ve been through other difficult times in the public eye, especially with my marriage and the death of my sister. The 37-year-old said the entire situation caused a lot of tears and anxiety, as well as having physical effects. Coleen suffers with reactive arthritis, a condition that causes redness and inflammation in various joints in the body, and the trial caused a more serious bout to occur.
"Wayne was really supportive all the way through, telling me, 'You’ve done nothing wrong, carry on and tell the truth and people will see you for you'. It was those comments that would pick me up. I was hoping that we could settle the case and we wouldn’t have to go to court.
