Coleraine are back in action on Friday night against Ballymena United
Coleraine manager Dean Shiels believes the predicted 'bottom six' this season could be a "myth" after a number of clubs strengthened over the summer.
Loughgall, Portadown, Dungannon Swifts and Glenavon will also look to pose a threat to the European play-off spots, leaving fans predicting a scrap for positions this season. "I think there could be different changes with regards top six and bottom six. We try to just concentrate on ourselves and improve as we progress through the season.Coleraine harbour plenty of ambition themselves after going full-time this summer. Shiels admits it has been a period of significant change, and one that should temper ambitions as the club looks to navigate its way through the early stages of professional football.
"Then there is the recruitment process and signing players, and trying to find a balance in the squad. And then trying to win football matches. Coleraine's head coach added: "Obviously when the decision was made to change the model to full-time, and after having that discussion, we knew it would be a mountain of work and the challenges we would face early on.
